APR Applied Pharma Research s.a. and Labtec GmbH announce Ondansetron Oral Dispersible Film (“ODF”) is now available for licensing in Europe and selected non European countries, after having received marketing authorization in most countries of Europe.
Olanzapine ODF is being developed as an Oral Dispersible film available in the three more common dosages (5, 10
and 15mg). Olanzapine ODF offers competitive advantages versus Zyprexa tablets and Zyprexa ODT as well as
Zyphadera:
higher compliance vs Zyprexa Tablets: swallowing is easier and water is not needed, once the film is put on the tongue
there is no possibility to extract the medicine from the mouth.
higher compliance vs Zyprexa ODT (Zyprexa Zydis or Velotab) ; easier to be handled, stored and taken away;
higher compliance vs. Zyphadera, easier dose finding/changing, no post-injection syndrome
The absence of Aspartame in the formulation makes the product safe also for phenylketonuric patients, for whom the
use of Zyprexa ODT is contraindicated.
