Olanzapine is an atypical antipsychotic, for the treatment of: schizophrenia, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder and preventing recurrence in bipolar disorder; depressive episodes associated with bipolar disorder, (as part of the Symbyax formulation with fluoxetine),. Olanzapine has also some Off-label uses such as generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder The schizophrenia market is growing slowly until 2011 to reach $4.3 billion across the 7 Major Markets .


APR developed the proprietary RapidFilm™ technology which is a novel, non-mucoadhesive, fast dissolving oral dosage form based on a water soluble polymer. Placed on top of the tongue, the film disperses within seconds (water is not needed), promoting a gastrointestinal absorption comparable to immediate release oral solid dosage forms
